History & Philosophy

Feilding Lawyers Barltrop Graham had its origins in the early 1900s with the firms John Graham & Son, J.E. Barltrop & Son, and Fullerton-Smith & Miles. Changes in personnel over many years culminated in the merger of “Barltrops” with “Graham, Miles & Chisnall” in 1994. That merger brought together two firms which could trace their origins back to the early days of Feilding.

Feilding lawyers Barltrop Graham has, quite simply, been around for a long time. Some could say we’re a little conservative - a little bit old fashioned. Some could even say we don’t have all the razzamatazz of a big city law firm.

We’d rather put our energies into looking after our clients and carrying out their instructions with as little fuss as possible. We appreciate that in a small town such as Feilding, people have to live and work together, crossing paths on a daily basis.
